Shawna Biava is owner of The Skin Apothecary. She and her family are avid outdoor enthusiasts! In her spare time, you can find Shawna boating, hiking, paddle boarding, skiing, or biking along the green belt. She is also a Crossfit athlete and has competed in numerous competitions over the last 12 years. Shawna has called Star her home for the last 3 years and loves meeting new people and sharing her love of esthetics with clients of all ages.
Jenni Kohl has been a Registered Nurse, BSN for 27 years. In those 27 years, she have done a little bit of everything in the hospital setting. Starting in Geriatrics, she then moved to labor and delivery, management, and even the operating room setting. She has had an amazing experience; however, nurse burn out is a real thing, and so she has made the switch to aesthetics. She started this journey last year and has fallen in love with it! Jenni has had so much fun learning how to make women look as young as they feel. We all get older, but so many people don’t realize what technology is out there that can help us age gracefully.
Jenni's hobbies outside of work are her animals, friends, family, and travel. She has been happily married for 25 years, has raised 5 children, and has one grand-baby. She still has one teenage boy at home and so as you can imagine, she is tired! Having lived in the same town she grew up in for thirty-seven years, Jenni has always wanted to move and try something different. Her whole family took a leap of faith and moved to Idaho two years ago and haven’t looked back since. She is a compassionate, loving person, and looks forward to meeting and helping you.
Nicole Knott is a Master Aesthetician at The Skin Apothecary. She enjoys assisting her clients elevate their natural beauty. She holds over 20 years of experience in the Dermatology and Plastic Surgery industry. She believes with her experience and knowledge that she can provide professional services to you with exceptional results.

Lahnie is a Licensed Esthetician and has been in the beauty industry for over 15 years and in esthetics for 3 years. She is a wife and mom to 2 teenage boys. Outside of those roles, Lahnie love all things skincare and esthetic treatments that improve the skin to be it’s healthiest and most beautiful. She has an innate ability to connect with others and to identify the best skin solutions for you! She is a people person to her core and is energized by her clients .
Lahnie is thrilled to be a part of The Skin Apothecary team. She says that she is blessed to be able to work alongside a genuine team of individuals who truly wants what is best for their clients. Marisa Suarez has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2012. She recently moved from California where she owned a beauty bar and two barbershops, which were voted best in Ventura County. She has brought her craft to Star, which is where she says her heart belongs. Having been doing lashes and microblading for the past 10 years nonstop, it has become second nature to Marisa. She loves meeting new clients and helping them look their best!
Marisa is bilingual and in her free time, she likes helping her sister in her bakery as a cake decorator. Marisa has been married to an amazing husband for 19 years and is a mom to three boys ages 17, 9, and 1. She also has 4 fur babies, enjoys barbecuing, spending time with her sons, sisters, nieces and nephews. She enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities and, of course, shopping!
